Track Services Team

NASCAR's Advance Training Program provides many distinct modules for use by each Track's training staff. The Program provides classroom and hands-on skills modules covering fire suppression, extrication, track restoration, and race vehicle recovery. In support of the Program, the Team has a Featherlite Trailer stocked with unique training props and equipment, including two special Kidde FireTrainer Burn Pans that can be utilized on the racing surface, a training car with smoke machine to simulate assisting a driver in a smoke-filled vehicle, a current center section with interchangeable seats, and a full complement of rescue tools, including AMKUS power unit, cutters, and spreader.
NASCAR maintains an online database (http://training.nascartrackservices.com) to keep records on each person participating in the Advance Training Program. The database provides a central location for information, and enhances communication. This database also supports the NASCAR Security & Track Services Summit.
Tying training, at-track operations, and the database together is the Track Services ID Program. Each person participating in NASCAR-backed training is provided with a unique ID and bar code number. This enables NASCAR and Trainers to quickly capture information and make it part of a person's permanent record.
